This Weston-super-Mare project replaced a mixture of worn tarmac and concrete with a continuous Canberra resin bound surface through the entrance drive, courtyard and side access.

Challenges

The driveway combined old tarmac and concrete, with failed areas, vegetation and changing levels.
Door thresholds, service covers, boundary edges and surface-water routes all needed to work together across the courtyard and side access.
The long entrance and narrower side sections needed a consistent retained edge and finish.

Solution

Cleared the working area, removed loose and failed material and prepared consistent levels.
Installed kerb edging, a block-paved entrance threshold and channel drainage where water needed a controlled route.
Installed a stable, free-draining permeable concrete base across the courtyard, drive and side access.
Laid and hand finished the Canberra resin bound surface in controlled sections around thresholds and recessed covers.
