Resin bound driveway, path and patio - Exmouth
New The Met resin driveway and Alaskan Tundra patio in Exmouth
This completed Exmouth project uses New The Met for the front resin driveway, the path connecting the front and rear of the property, and the geometric patio pattern. The rear patio is finished in contrasting Alaskan Tundra, with the dark New The Met path sweeping around the house and into the patio design.
Project summary
- Location
- Exmouth, Devon
- Service
- Resin bound driveway, connecting path and rear patio
- Driveway, path and pattern
- New The Met resin bound aggregate
- Rear patio
- Alaskan Tundra resin bound aggregate
- Feature
- Geometric New The Met pattern within the patio
Challenges
- The finish needed to connect the front driveway to the rear patio through a narrow side path.
- The dark driveway and path had to transition cleanly into the lighter rear patio without losing definition.
- The patio design needed a distinctive feature that repeated the New The Met colour used elsewhere on the project.
Solution
- Used New The Met across the front driveway and continued it along the side path to create one connected route around the property.
- Finished the rear patio in Alaskan Tundra to provide a lighter contrast against the brickwork and dark connecting path.
- Added a geometric New The Met inset to the Alaskan Tundra patio, visually tying the rear space back to the driveway and path.
